As you may be aware, the SeaMonkey project is in the middle of rebuilding their infrastructure. As such there will be no official builds for a while. Meanwhile bugs are being found and corrected. These corrections are being made available in unofficial builds.
These unofficial builds are available here:
I am having problems with a bug that is addressed in these builds. I normally use your repository to keep current. The builds here are in binary .tar.bz2 format as are the official builds. Perhaps you could consider making these unofficial builds available in the repository. Perhaps you could simply make a .deb of them available elsewhere for those of us who want to install them.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter. May you have a blessed new year.
Somehow I screwed up the link above, you need to past the text into your browser instead of clicking on it. One issue to keep in mind with this as well is the note on that page about the differences in library requirements with these builds. I am trying to get that met on my system and if you can tell me where to get the 6.0.23 version of the libstdc++ library for ubuntu xenial I would appreciate it.
Hi,
Sorry for late reply...
I don't think i'll bother dealing with unofficial builds, since the whole point of this project is to provide official builds.
it appears seamonkey has been having some issues with timely releases for quite some time now, perhaps you'd do better to switch to firefox ESR (which is available from this repository also).

The official 2.49.5 build is now released. I hope you will make it available quickly. I understand that progress is being made on 2.53 as well, but I have no idea when it will be released.
Pushed out 2.49.5, thank you for the notice :)
