Could you, please, make SeaMonkey providing www-browser virtual package? It seems to be necessary for some systems.

When I installed SeaMonkey from Ubuntuzilla on my Debian Stretch (current testing release) as the only web browser, I've found that, e.g., flashplayer-mozilla package cannot be installed. It requires www-browser or iceweasel package and, therefore, cannot recognize SeaMonkey as a proper web browser to install the Flash plugin.

When I repacked seamonkey-mozilla-build .deb package, having added www-browser to Provides field in the package control file, the problem have been solved. My system is Debian Stretch amd64 with Xfce 4.12 as the only installed desktop environment.

Interesting, that the problem seems to be absent in Debian Jessie (current stable release) with Xfce 4.10.

Probably, it would be also useful to make SeaMonkey providing gnome-www-browser virtual package for GNOME users, but I haven't tested it.

    Hi Dmitry,

Thanks for pointing this out. I have added some extra Provides: items to the list, basically copying whatever firefox provides, including www-browser, gnome-www-browser, iceweasel.
Just in time, Seamonkey just released 2.39, which I just packaged and pushed out. Give it a try, it should work now! :)

    Cheers,
    Daniel
