Sourceforge is forcing HTTPS on connections to the Ubuntuzilla repo which causes apt-get update to fail if the repo is present in sources.list and the apt-transport-https package is not installed.

Is there a way to force Sourceforge to use HTTP instead of HTTPS?

    Hi,

I take it there is some reason you don't just install apt-transport-https?

I don't know how to make sourceforge not redirect to https - that is something that you would need to ask in a general sourceforge support tracker.

Installing apt-transport-https and adding the key using the instructions in the wiki seems to have corrected all issues.

      Thanks
