Usage:

This should all be intuitive but here is some detailed information.

  1. Download the file.

  2. On most Ubuntu setups the file is saved to the Downloads folder. Type the following into a terminal:
    bash ~/Downloads/Setup

  3. A menu will appear.
    Basic use:
Enter categories by typing the number beside the desired category, go back to the main menu with the B key and toggle menu choice selections with the number keys.
Type I to execute the items you selected or type E to execute all of the items in the menu with one key press.
All other options are designated by letters and described clearly, just push the appropriate letter to toggle them on and off.

  4. When there are more options for installing software, you will be asked some questions. Read them and answer them with the Y and N keys.

  5. You will be prompted for a password. Enter the password you used to log in to enter super user mode so things can be done.

  6. If the program installations may have prompts for set up or reading and accepting end user license agreements you need to answer the program will tell you. Just wait around for a few minutes while going through the prompts as they appear in the terminal window.

  7. The program will tell you when there will not be any more prompts. You can do something else while the program runs its course.

  8. If there is a program that fails to download or can not be installed it will be listed when this program is completed. You can post a bug ticket to let me know about it and I will try to correct it.

  9. If you chose to perform any security tasks all things done and security audit results (where applicable) will be stored in the Security-Results file in your home folder. You can read it if you desire or just delete it.
