That's great. The documentation framework will help a ton. I actually
just checked in a first pass at the reconnection piece - but it's far
from done. It only detects connection loss when you try to write to the
channel, so we should probably add a heartbeat facility or something
like that so we can detect connection loss at a reasonable interval.
Warren, I'll leave that to you. When you're ready to tackle the
problem, let me know, and I'll steer you to the right place. 

It looks like no one wants to take message selectors, so I'll put that
on my list. (Unless someone wants to help me out on that)
