#3 UBCD 2.4 does not boot on IBM Thinkpad T42P

I downloaded UBCD 2.4. The created CD boots in my Dell
desktop pc.
In my IBM T42P Notebook the CD does not boot. Instead
a Knoppix / Kanotix
Linux CD boots well, for example.

The notebook gives no evidences whats up. The CD-Rom
is klickering
a bit but the drive does not speed up CD-Rotation as
usual with other CDs.

After 30 Seconds trying to boot from CD is skipped.

But no error message comes up.
