I recently bought the Aoide DAC II I2S DAC Hat & matching case for my Raspberry PI 3B+. Now, I'm happy to report that it works flawlessly with Volumio, albeit that the Aoide version for Volumio is really obligatory. The Aoide DAC II works flawlessly as I said, even when playing music files at the highest bit rate.
What I don't understand is why the manufacturer does not submit its drivers for inclusion into the Raspberry kernel, or indeed, the Linux kernel. Then EVERY and ALL Raspberry and Raspberry/Linux based system would be able to use the Aoide DAC II! It would multiply its market potential a thousand-fold.
It would also make live easier for the DAC's owners, and, moreoever, it would be much easier for the DAC's developers too, freeing them up for other tasks.
So here's my request: please submit the Aoide DAC II drivers for inclusion into the Raspberry kernel; submit the drivers also for inclusion into the Linux kernel and we will all be happier!
It would expand the Aoide DAC II's potential market tremendously! So everybody wins.
Please consider this option very carefully, and let us know what you're going to do.
Thanks & best regards,
Marco

First of all, Thank you for your work! As Mr. Janssen already mentioned very well above, it's more easy way to submit the Aoide DAC II drivers into the official version of Volumio for users like me.
Thank you & best regards,
Junghoon

I totally agree with you! And I want to use Tidal and Myvolumio in Volumio with Aoide DAC II. ^^
