Hi, I would like to contribute code and would like to know from the maintainers, if they still maintain this project. If not, what would be required to get CVS write access as I then would have the choice of either maintaining my own branch of tyrex locally (e.g. which compiles with jdk 1.4) or commit my changes, if the project is not maintained by anyone else anyway? Best regards, Robert -- ________________________ Robert Krüger Signal7 GmbH Brüder Knauss Str. 79 64285 Darmstadt Germany |

Hi, during the past few days I played around with Tyrex (after a bit of frustration with objectweb's JOTM) and so far it looks like it's a valuable tool despite its age. The only thing that worries me a bit is the activity of the project. Could anyone tell me who is still working with tyrex? Any commercial tools, OSS projects which are still being used in production? Also I found a bug in TransactionManagerImpl (transactions not being disassociated with the thread when an implicit rollback is performed during a commit operation, e.g. in the case of a transaction which was marked for rollback before the commit) which I think I have fixed. Where shall I post the bug report/patch? I also made the project compile on jdk1.4 by implementing the required JDMC-3.0 methods empty (throwing UnsupportedOperationException). Is anyone already working on this or can I contribute the code? Best Regards, Robert |

Hi OpenEJB, I just visited your web site and would like to invite you to exchange = link with us at http://www.computer5.com . As you know, one of the key elements that all search engines use in = ranking websites is the number of websites that are linked to you, and = the relevancy of the content.=20 Directories such as ours are the best sources for links and related = content. Let's suppose that I have this method: public void doUpdate() throws SQLException { java.sql.Connection conn; java.sql.Statement stmt; conn = getConnectionFromXADataSource(); // ... stmt.executeUpdate(strSQLUpdate); // ... conn.close(); } Also, suppose that "doUpdate" is executing in a JTA transaction: public void processRequest() { UserTransaction tx; // ... tx.begin(); doUpdate(); tx.commit(); } Does conn.close() interfere with the JTA transaction? Should I remove "conn.close()" from doUpdate? Would it be better to call conn.close() after I call tx.commit() ? http://java.sun.com/products/jta/ http://java.sun.com/products/jdbc/ |

Hello, I am new to using Tyrex. I just downloaded the v1.0 build and I am trying to run a simple test: create a TransactionDomain from an XML config file (see attachment). I am getting an error in some XML parsing code (part of Castor). I have spent several hours searching for bug reports, checking this alias archive, and trying to trace the code through Castor. Is the Tyrex 0.9.7 JAR file still available? I'm doing build of an older version of Tomcat (4.0.3) and it requires that version. Newer versions cause the build to fail. Anybody home?
