Today is the first release of Tyler's File Commands. Now comes the
ooohs and aaaahs, the "who in their right mind would do that??", the
valid point that no one has modified cp in 20 years, and curiosity of
how the world will take something so frivolous but cool. =)
For everyone but me, Tyler's File Commands is a modified version of cp
from Apple's Darwin. It now includes uber-verbose output with a
progress meter and bandwidth calculation. Screen shot available at

Designed with Darwin in mind but known to work on OpenBSD 3.5 and
probably any modern BSD, Tyler's File Commands brings eye candy to a
