# Welcome: TwoCan Remote Monitor

TwoCan is (or will be) software for remotely monitoring or recording audio. It provides network-controllable monitoring or recording of an audio source -- whether it's a microphone, telephone, radio, or something else. And it lets you record or replay just the parts you're interested in -- even after they happen.

It's main features are:

- Live and time-shifted monitoring and recording
- Very few library dependencies
- Compressed recording/streaming

Note that TwoCan is still at an early stage of development, and the above describes the *intended* features of the project (which may not have been implemented yet).
