#2 auto URL shortening

not sure if i should call this a bug but the link text is always [link] which is fine but one cannot copy and paste the link, nor can one right click and copy the link nor can one get the shortened link by clicking on it. so one has to re-do the shortening. auto-shortening a la bit.ly or something would be nice. so let's call that the feature request. :D
