1. TWiki-5.1.4 Released: Get. Work. Done.

We've released TWiki 5.1.4 it can be downloaded immediately from TWiki.org and SourceForge.net. The TWiki VM, a VMware based virtual machine has been updated as well. This release supersedes earlier TWiki 5.1 releases, which introduced many usability enhancements, such as point and click user data management, more visual user profile pages with picture selector, and a backup feature to help upgrade TWiki sites.

2. Advanced TWiki Spreadsheet Formulas: Power and Flexibility - Not For Grandma

TWiki's SpreadSheetPlugin just got 9 new functions that add hash capabilities to TWiki... TWiki has supported tables since its inception. Spreadsheet functions were introduced with the SpreadSheetPlugin in 2001. Initially just a dozen functions were available for simple table arithmetic. Over time, many more functions have been added, allowing ever more advanced computations. This blog post describes some advanced spreadsheet topics using some of the (120) current functions.

3. New TWiki Extensions to Watch Pages, Get Notified, Connect to SAP, JIRA, and More

TWiki.org has a lot of activity recenty, especially on the extensions. Here is a quick overview on some new plugins release in the last few weeks...TWiki has a new WatchlistPlugin. It does what you know from the watchlist feature on Wikipedia. ... The JiraPlugin allows users to add JQL (JIRA Query Language) statements in TWiki pages - the result is rendered as TWiki tables. A new SapConnectPlugin ...allows users to query content in an SAP system using the ABAP query language, and to show the result dynamically in TWiki pages. ...

6. The Internet Map - Fascinating Ways to Visualize the Web

The Internet Map (click to enlarge) Ruslan Enikeev created a cool interactive map of the Internet. The four biggest circles are google.com, facebook.com, youtube.com and yahoo.com. TWiki.org is a tiny spec next to facebook.com. In total, the whole map depicts 350,000 sites and two million links from 196 countries...
