Is there any way for previous tuxracer achievements to persist? For example, if I qualify on the Bunny Hill once, is there a way to start the next game directly at Twisty Slope? I notice there is a file "~/.tuxracer/noname.sav" which seems to keep track of these things. -chris |

This is so that you only get as many attempts as you have lives to complete the cup. Cheers, Jasmin -- Jasmin Patry Lead Programmer, Tux Racer jf...@su... http://www.tuxracer.com |

Hi, Is there a way in Tuxracer to configure the joystick to change polarity? I couldn't think of a better word than polarity, but the problem is, the joystick is configured and all the games I play work perfect except for Tuxracer. In Tuxracer, all the joystick controls work fine except forward backward. When I push the joystick forward, Tux starts dragging, and when I pull the joystick backward, he starts paddling forward to go faster. Not sure why Tuxracer is the only game to do this. Thanks, Ken -- Kenton Groombridge kgr...@cl... http://web.infoave.net/~kgroombr/ |

OK, so let me get this straight. I have to do the whole thing from scratch every time. I can't do Bunny Hill today, exit, and then do Twisty Slope tomorrow? -chris Jasmin Patry <jf...@su...> writes: > On Thu, Apr 12, 2001 at 11:57:04AM -0700, Chris Majewski wrote: > > Is there any way for previous tuxracer achievements to persist? Once you've won it it remains "unlocked" and you can go back and play those courses in any order as many times as you want. -- Jasmin Patry Lead Programmer, Tux Racer jf...@su... http://www.tuxracer.com |

Aha. Great! Now I've no excuse to *not* spend the whole day playing TuxRacer. BTW, I was doing some backcountry skiing in the coast mountains of british columbia last weekend, and looking around at the alpine scenery, it reminded me of something.. couldn't put my finger on it.. -chris On Thu, 19 Apr 2001, Jasmin Patry wrote: > On Wed, Apr 18, 2001 at 01:27:50PM -0700, Chris Majewski wrote: > > OK, so let me get this straight.
