A new option has been added to Tux Paint (and it is exposed in the
Tux Paint Config GUI tool): "--native"
This tells Tux Paint to ignore the default screen size (800x600) or any
width/height options given to the app, and try to use the system's current
screen resolution. This is particularly useful if you sometimes run Tux Paint
in windowed mode (where using the screen's resolution doesn't make sense,
since you have window titlebar, borders, desktop taskbar/panels, widgets, etc.)
and sometimes run it in fullscreen mode (and want to get the most out of
your monitor).
The option only makes sense with fullscreen mode (e.g., "--fullscreen"
on the command-line).
You can use it in one of the following ways:
Command-line:
tuxpaint --fullscreen --native
Options file:
fullscreen=yes
native=yes
Alternatively:
fullscreen=native
