No

Add some modes as options to the "Line" tool (a la 8-bit computer paint programs):
+ Connected-segments (auto-next line, connected to end of last line)
+ Rays (auto-next line, connected to start of last line)

The feature should be optional (disable to get ONLY normal straight point-to-point lines, with no mode buttons in the UI).

Mode buttons could appear as a set of 3 buttons (normal, connected, ray) at the bottom right, below the brush shapes (like Stamp size/mirror controls or Text/Label size/style controls).

Currently the "Lines" tool in Tux Paint behaves like this:
click to start the line, drag to the end, release to draw the line, click to start next line, drag...

As I understand, connected segments should behave as in gimp when you hit the "Shift" key while in paint tool:
(1)click to start the line, drag to the end, release to draw the line, (2)click to draw new line with origin at end of previous line, (2),(2)... so draw a Z with 3 clicks (topleft->topright, bottomleft, bottomright)

    Rays should behave like
(1)click to start the line, drag to the end, release to draw the line, (2)click to draw new line with origin at origin of first line, (2), (2) so you draw a Y with 3 clics (middle->topleft, topright, bottom)

See the original post from Bill for the additional needs about UI
