Hi, I'm interest to solve some tasks from the Google Code-IN Competition. I have created me a profile on the page. What is the next, what I must do? I can translate some text to German if it necessary. E.g. I have seen that there are some English fragments in the German Version of Tux Math and Tux Paint. In my spare time I support a youth <http://dict.tu-chemnitz.de/english-german/youth.html>club <http://dict.tu-chemnitz.de/english-german/club.html>in Computer Problems, so I think it is also possible to install the Tux4Kids package on the PC's in the club, so that the kids can learn something with the Program. In my apprenticeship I mainly do Java programming, so I have some programming practice and I think I can dig into some of the Code-Tasks as well. Markus |

Hi Markus! Please, let me know if you want more information about factoroids or/and TuxHistory tasks! I suggest you to study C and SDL to be able to do the coding tests. Java is a good language, but C is very different to Java in coding methodology, and of course C is a low level language. If you want to do coding work, you *must* know C. Hi, Yeah, Jesus is right. You must know some C stuffs to do the coding task. I think learning C language is not that hard for you because you already have a programming background in Java and they have some small similarities in native syntax. Hi, I would translate the last English remains in tux math, like the Help, the Main Menu and the description of factroids. I would also translate the Tux Paint Config Dialog into the German language. After completing the Tasks i will decide if there is a chance to become familar enough with C++/SDL (already started) in the given time to start and complete a Code-Task as well.
