Hi folks, I'm not a facebook user but seemingly everyone around me is. I have created a facebook account and grabbed the page name "Tux4Kids". I messed around with it for about an hour, but really it is just a placeholder that isn't visible to the public. If there is anyone with enthusiasm for tux4kids who is proficient with facebook, I'd be happy to have you set up an attractive page for the project. Thanks, David |

OK, how do I get the Tux4Kids "domain name" transferred so that you can access it. Currently it is tied to a facebook account with my gmail address as the user name. We should likely create some sort of tux4kids project facebook account, maybe by making a tux4kids gmail address for this purpose. Thanks, David |

I'm at work and the firewall blocks facebook, so I can't "publish" it or whatever it's called on facebook. But it doesn't really have anything worth keeping - go ahead and start a new page from scratch. However, I would suggest that you create a tux4kids-related email to set up the account, rather than using your own main email, so that care of the page could be handed over to someone else if you can't do it anymore. I'm assuming facebook doesn't have a way to transfer pages from one user to another. If it does, I guess it doesn't matter. Thanks, David |

Facebook allows users to create Pages, and multiple admins can be assigned to the page. (Presumably, this would let someone step down, and let another person take over.) If anyone else would like to help in maintaining the page, let me know, I would add them as page admins. There are a couple of things we could do to advertise the page, you could add a the "LikeBox" link to our main site.
