Hi all, i'm at lost (again) about what the current situation is and I would like to help clarify it so that we can all move forward. Let me know if I'm right about this: 1. David Bruce is the official current maintainer but does not have the time to continue. 2. Holger Levsen is the current Debian package manager and is still okay with packaging the Tuxmath suite. 3. Deepak has created a clone of tux4kids projects on Github and is also involved in helping with the GSOC aspects. 4. Laura has done some work on some repositories and is willing to merge this work with the main project. 5. I have write access to the alioth repositories and am willing to help maintaining the website. 6. tux...@li... is the central place for communication, even if other mailing lists exist. If we all agree on the above, that's a good starting point :) Now for questions and decisions we need to make: - @Deepak: are you willing to be the new maintainer? - @Deepak: if so, do you want to use the Github repositories as the main repositories (and sync the alioth ones)? - @Laura: are you using github, alioth or other repositories? What would you need to use the central repositories instead of the ones you use today? - @all: can we agree to archive all other mailing list and only advertize tuxmath-devel@ ? If Deepak is the new maintainer and the Github repositories are the central place for development and tuxmath-devel@ is the one place for communication, things can move forward like this: - Holger sets the alioth sync. - I update the website with these informations. - Laura submit patches against the github repos and move her development there. Let me know how it goes. Thanks, -- Bastien |
