Hi, Google Code-In 2011 is off to a strong start, with the first wave of completed tasks coming in. I have just been reviewing the work on the Tuxmath/Tuxtype side, but there have been several tasks completed for Tux Paint as well. The star contributor so far is Jakub Spiewak, who took about 24 hours to implement a new frame-rate-independent, screen-size-independent motion system for tuxmath's main comet game. In preliminary testing, the game looks quite noticeably smoother on my home desktop, and the frame rate should degrade gracefully when used on the old, slow machines that accumulate in schools. We also have updated Catalan translations for Tuxmath and Tuxtype, as well as a new translation of tuxmath to the widely-used en_US@piglatin locale (really). Kudos to all the 13-17 year olds who are pitching in to improve our software, and big thanks as well to everyone who is helping with the mentoring.
