Instead I have to type the German =DF (sz). Is there a workaroun= d? I'm not sure - TuxMath recognizes keypresses based on the keysyms defined b= y=20 SDL (SDLK_MINUS is '-' key in main keyboard, or SDLK_KP_MINUS which is=20 the '-' key on the numeric keypad). All I can suggest for now is to try=20 both, if you haven't already. > > - For younger German children the English menu of TuxMath is a problem. > A multi-language version would be great. TuxMath has the beginnings of that, but only for the Linux version. I have= n't=20 yet been able to get the internationalization code (Gnu gettext) to build o= n=20 Windows. It certainly is a goal. > > To improve the handling I translated the titles of the 54 lessons to > German and installed them on our school network drive. Of course it would be OK! Under the terms of the GPL, you should also post= =20 the tar.gz source - it would be even greater if your pupils choose to=20 download and work on that! ;) If you use Linux, the best way to do the translation is to make a German .p= o=20 file for TuxMath, which we would be happy to include in the project. One o= f=20 the other members of the project (Karl Ove Hufthammer <ka...@hu...>) is= =20 much more knowledgable about these issues than am I. > > Regards, > > Wolfgang > > > Dr. Wolfgang Lezius > Kopernikus-Gymnasium Neubeckum > Vellerner Stra=DFe 15 > D-59269 Beckum / GERMANY Regards, =2D-=20 David Bruce |
