[Tuxmath-devel] failing tuxmath "couldn't load a music file"

Tuxmath fails after trying to start it, because of failure to "load a 
music file"

Error: I couldn't load a music file:
/usr/local/share/tuxmath/sounds/game.mod
The Simple DirectMedia error that occured was:
Couldn't read from '/usr/local/share/tuxmath/sounds/game.mod'

The game-mod file does exist in the directory where it is expected. I 
just re-installed the rpm, but that did not help anything. In the past 
it has worked fine. I think however that was on SuSE 7.3, whereas now I 
have SuSE 9.0 installed. 

(If you have a suggestion about this failure, could you please also sent 
a copy to my personal address? I'm not sure I'm still subscribed to the 
developers list. Thanks)
