It's been over a week since the tragic events of 9/11, so here's my thoughts: I think we should carry on with TuxMath - Bill and Sam have obviously both already put in a large amount of effort, and I think it's already an enjoyable, very profesional looking app. Besides, any resemblance to the tragic events of last week are totally accidental, and no shame could possibly be attached to naybody, or the premise behind the game. In terms of replacing/modifying the city graphics, I was thinking about it on the way home from work last night, and came up with the following: how about using jam jars - the glass receptacles used to keep the sticky stuff in that you put on toast - as replacements for the cities. They would be empty on start-up, and slowly fill up with "goo" as the comets (or lumps of goo) land of them. This way, there would be a much better visual indication of how close the base/city/whatever was to being "used up". Sam, you could also use this for your idea of allowing the "damage" to the bases to regress if the player does well (i.e. the jar would become less full of goo). What do you think?? --- David P.S. - i really like the new music :-) |
