I tested tuxmath on Peanut 9.0b2

the comets actually go fatser than the comet-anim.gif
the comets only take 10 secs to complete the fall.

Pnut 9 ships with the latest XFREE 4.1.0 w/dri & glx
linux 2.4.10

the video performance improvement is very-very impressive

XFREE comes with an app called glxgears that displays framerate
copying that app to my RH7.1 drive allowed me to document the
improvement.

on my rh 7.1 box framerate averages 53fps
this same system reports 80fps under Peanut 9.0 beta a 66% improvement.

this video card is a Trident 3DImage 975 agp non-hardware accellerated
card. I have heard of some reports of 3-4 hundred fps on some voodoos
so the need for limiting animation speeds may be needed
