OK, I appreciate all the help. I know I'm way over my head now.... I have all the Mesa RPMs installed (mesa, mesa-common, mesa-common-devel & demos) I'm running on the nvidia 1.0-1512 drivers (new last week) This is verified by seeing the nvidia splash screen. So far I have not noticed any problems - Tuxracer still runs perfectly (even after a reboot). Some of the plib demos work and some don't. Do I need to run these from the command line? WavingFlagDemo works fine from KDE but, from a terminal I just get "command not found". I must be missing something. Steve, the glut.h file is indeed in /usr/include/GL You are correct about /usr/lib/libglut.so however, the libglut.so file is in user/X11 R6/lib (several other glut files are also here as well) A glutfx is in /user/X11 R6/bin What do I do? Just move these files? Some files, all files, 1 file? Now a more general question, I have been expanding, configuring, & making all these programs from /home/downloads I was under the assumption that these could be deleted after a "make install", this is obviously wrong. Where should I be expanding these files, in separate directories? (Tuxkart, plib, plibexamples, etc) Should I move them some ware else after "make install"? Thank you! |
