I just told you... work on the bits that are not related to the usage of
SDL or SDL_ttf and leave that side of things until later.

Look at the lists people are producing of tasks to be done.  They are
not small and the majority are unrelated to SDL/SDL_ttf.

For a highly paid programmer, you're showing a remarkable lack of
initiative.  I don't know whether to find that incredibly worrying (what
is this world coming to) or incredibly promising (gives me hope of such
lucrative earnings).

I agree, ignore the flame-fest for now.  Focus on the areas where you
are needed most.
