I know part of the idea is to update TuxKart so that it takes advantage of more modern hardware (3D cards etc), but we really don't want it to get to the point where you need a GHz machine to play it. Then again, this is a bit of an ignorant reply as I cannot atest to the performance impact of any bones/keyframes technique or Cal3d. I'm just airing my concern that PCs that are not aged but not beautifully new (Celeron 733, 256megs, GeForce2) can run TuxKart.
