I been using CloneZilla live for 4 years without any issues. We are using a
Samba Server create and restore images. I just received a new computer that
has a haswell motherboard. In the past we have had SandyBridge
motherboards. I am having issue connecting to my local network. I have
tried both DHCP and Static options. When selecting DHCP, CloneZilla is
waiting for an IP address but never receives one. If I select Static and
provide all the network settings, I am unable to connect to the samba
server.
I am wondering if it has to do with the network drivers that CloneZilla live
is using. How would I update the CloneZilla live image with the drivers for
the haswell motherboard?
DId you try the latest alternative testing Clonezilla live, e.g. 20170426-zesty: http://clonezilla.org/downloads.php
It comes with newer Linux kernel (4.10) so the results might be different.
