Hello guys.

I recently have found this website : http://librenberry.net/

It seems he is selling the tux droid, 20=E2=82=AC more expensive than on ky=
soh.com

I wonderer if he is allowed to do such a thing.

Hi, yes it's allowed, and more there is services add-on, Cdrom with 
fully applications and firmeware update.these applications are on the 
forum of tuxisalive, these applications have been developped by roland 
thaisong and gil portenseigne of librenberry's team.

They are 2 french students that added 2 external sensors to tuxdroid. They  
posted the description on the script forum at  
http://www.tuxisalive.com/tux-droid-forum/scripts/438899757

 From what I understood, they added an IR distance sensor (Sharp I guess)  
and a humidity/temperature sensor (Sensirion probably). They told in the  
script that they would do the hardware hack to add these senors and sell  
this modified version. I have no idea if this is legal and I don't see why  
it wouldn't as they buy the original tuxs from Kysoh. I think it's a good  
initiative and as I also wanted to support external sensors, I think I'll  
try to work with them in order to do the software/firmware developments  
with the community.

Looking closer, I don't think the 99 EUR version they're selling includes  
the sensors. That will probably come later in another version which will  
make much more sense to me. Actually we're also testing 100% of the tux we  
send by ourselves and we're currently updating the firmware too at the  
same time. And as the product is in constant development, we couldn't  
really include a CD as it would have been outdated already.

I'm definitely waiting for the mod version.
