[tuxdroid-user] is flashing a new firmware to a brand new Tux mandatory ?

Hi again,

I wrote the doc at tuxisalive.com/getting-started
and I don't understand why we should begin with flashing a new firmware on a
device that we have bought and installed five minutes ago;
so is it mandatory because the Tux is empty and will do nothing as long as
you haven't flash it,
or can we try it first asis, using Weather or another gadget, then
eventually flashing a new firmware than the 0.4 that seems to be provided
with the tuxsetup 1.3.19 deb/tgz pack ?
