Turck MMCache for PHP version 2.3.13 is released

Turck MMCache is a PHP Accelerator, Optimizer and Encoder. It increases performance of PHP scripts by caching them in compiled state, so that the overhead of compiling is almost completely eliminated. Also it uses some optimizations for speed up of PHP scripts execution. Turck MMCache typically reduces server load and increases the speed of your PHP code by 1-10 times. It has been tested with PHP 4.1.0 - 4.3.1 under Linux and Windows with Apache 1.3 and 2.0.

This is an experemental release with internal libmm replacement. MMCache session handling was implemented. It will intresting for Windows user who hadn't fast shared memory session storage (see mmcache_set_session_handlers() function). mmcache_gc() function was implemented. It removes all expired values from MMCache shared storage. Saving/Restoring user cache (session data and values which where cached by mmcache_put() function) on httpd shutdown/startup. libmm replacement was implemented to avoid libmm limitations. Optimizer's bug was fixed. New benchmark results was published on MMCache home page.
