install trouble

    hello,

    try to compile mmcache-2.3.16 but looks not good.. always getting this message:

    [root@xxx turck-mmcache-2.3.16]# phpize

      You haven't php-devel package or you have two PHP installed or you have incorrect "phpize".

      See if you have "/usr/bin/phpize" then delete "/usr/local/bin/phpize" and run "/usr/bin/phpize".

      See into "/usr/local/bin/phpize" and edit the line:
      prefix='...'

        phpize is located in "/usr/local/bin/phpize" i changed the prefix but no luck.

        system is:

        redhat 7.2 running 2.4.20
        apache 1.3.27 with php 4.3.1

        php is not installed via rpm

          Cool :)

          But I means you will change prefix to not to "..." but
          to the real path where your php installed.

          Try:
          $ locate lib/php/build/pear.m4
          And you will see where your PHP is installed.
