Version 2.4.6 of mmcache.so does not load on SuSE 9.1
(apache 2.0.49, php 4.3.4) but throws an error in the
apache log:

/usr/sbin/httpd2-prefork: error while loading shared
libraries:
/usr/lib/php/extensions/mmcache.so: undefined symbol:
php_session_register_module

A quick "nm session.so|grep
php_session_register_module"
gives:
00003360 T php_session_register_module

and the session module is not disabled, i.e. it shows up
in phpinfo()

mmcache 2.4.6 is supposed to work with apache 2 and
php 4.3.4, according to the release notes.

    I can confirm this error.

    Is there any solution to fix that by my self?

    I can also confirm this. Haven't been able to find a way
    around it so far. Only think I can think of is that it has
    something to do with how PHP is configured in their RPMs,
    but I don't really know. Help would be great!

    Thanks.

    Okay, doing a little looking in the past bugs has found the
    solution to this problem.

    PHP was configured with --disable-session

    So, you have to reconfigure mmcache with
    --without-mmcache_sessions passed into ./configure.

    So, do a make distclean and start over from step 1, making
    sure you add --without-mmcache_sessions when necessary.
    This should fix the problem.

    I have reconfigured it with
    ./configure --enable-mmcache=shared --with-php-
    config=/usr/bin/php-config --without-mmcache_session

    and I get even the same error

    --without-mmcache_sessions <- wrong
    should be: --without-mmcache-sessions

    Thanks - it works
