Getting Started

Ok, so you've downloaded TurboSphere. Now what? Well, you will probably want an editor to make games with. It's possible to make games without an editor, but that would not be easy. There are a few editors available. One is the editor included with Sphere, which is old and a little buggy, but works and has been the go to editor for Sphere users for almost a decade. Using it requires that you start games manually in TurboSphere since it wants to run them in the old Sphere.

Another is Radnen's Editor, which is much nicer but may have a few minor bugs when used with TurboSphere. Notably, there is not yet autocomplete support for TurboSphere, and so it may lead you astray with its suggestions. At the moment, you will have to run TurboSphere manually using Radnen's editor. Until proper TurboSphere support is added, it is best to turn off the autocomplete.

Ok, so now you have TurboSphere and an editor. Preferably Radnen's, but the old Sphere one will work fine too. You are of course free to make a game from scratch now, using the [Functions] page as a guide, or you can check out a TurboSphere or Sphere tutorial (either using the [Sphere_Compatibility_Scripts], or just replacing the deprecated functions with the modern ones) found on the [Tutorials] page.
