#1 cannot start on mac osx leopard

having installed as below:

1. opened the jar
2. executed the command line from within terminal screen
3. started the program
NOT STARTED

then created the bin folder under tuneology with the tuneology.sh file*

* as during installation showed a warning for not being able to create the shortcut

did step 2 and 3 above again
NOT STARTED

Your help will deeply be appreciated as i am stuck with no software allowing to use with the sony mz-rh hi-md on mac osx leopard.
