Trinity Desktop Environment is a modern fork of KDE3.x. KDE 3.x was designed in an era where single core / 32-bit CPU's reigned the computing market. This makes it fast on modern 64 bit multi-core CPU's. Since it's been around for a while, it's also stable and has plenty of customization options scrounging around on the web.

Features

  • Based on TTOS Linux Core
  • Based on KDE 3.x code base
  • Fast and light weight
  • perfect for giving older hardware a modern desktop look and feel
  • Both development and stable build channels

  • Tom. Just letting you know that your 'Trinity' distro (Boston) offering as downloadable from your home page - is not actually Trinity. I have downloaded & run it live on three separate occasions. It boots with a KDE Plasma - splash screen. Also - the live set up - immediately displays the Calamares Installation page. I am able to bypass the Calamares set up & quit out of it. Only then do I see the 'live' OS set up that is sitting behind it. It definitely is KDE Plasma & leaving the session offers Wayland etc - but no Trinity options. I sent you an email - please check. Thanks again - Aqua Fyre Delete Review

The ISO does install Trinity. TTOS Boston was built using TTOS Linux Studio. The Live Installer image is NOT the OS installed to the hard drive. There is a disk image that calamares installs. This allows me to simplify the build process across many types of distros. So the ISO will install TTOS TDE if you complete the install process. Unfortunately, TTOS does not offer any functional Live ISO's. The custom utilities and software that make TTOS Linux different are not compatible in VM's therefore I made the distribution installable only.
