I think to have a version running in windows released before Christmas:
however expect to have only SIDPlayer (>4.3 version) available for windows for version 0.3 of TSID2, and all end-user TSID2 programs (examiner2, tupdate2, tsid2tsid).
I think that as soon as TSID2 shows to run correctly in Windows, sidplay2w could be released with a running TSID2 version incorporated.
TSID and TSID2 simply store your listen time and how many times you listen a given sid tune (thrown directory path for TSID and MD5 fingerprinter for TSID2)
With those statistic you can know the tunes you listen more ofter or for more times, and else you can generate a playlist of these tunes.
Essentially the differences between TSID and TSID2 are:
TSID2: collect statistics on every listen sid
TSID: collect statistic only for sid placed into HVSC collection (* with some ticks even for others, but not update is available for the others)
TSID2: give listen statistics about your own collection structure, and even for HVSC or CGSC collections.
TSID: give only statistic based onto HVSC collection structure.
TSID2: an update for HVSC or CGSC can be apply multiple times and when you want, without the risk of damage already collected data (thrown MD5 fingerprinter power)
TSID: an update must be apply after an HVSC upgrade one time; if you don't apply it, there's a <1% probability of damage already collected data with wrong subtune positions.
TSID2: can give statistic about the list of best sids in realtime
TSID2: can't give statistic in real time
TSID2: data collected with TSID can be converted into new format with a tsid2tsid program, so you can convert all your already collected statistics, and more, TSID2 and TSID can be used together (I always use both for testing all)
you can test TSID in windows with SIDPlayer 4.2 (that has a bug with some player that changes IRQ at run time - like Mastercomposer - but the bug are now corrected into CVS sidplayer version) or with sidplay2 console.
I hope that this can help you.
Bye

Hi,
I just want to know when the Tsid2 for windows will be release.
I also want to know how the tsid work.
