It happened to me also, when I registered for the 2nd time with the same e-mail address (all other data were different). I changed the e-mail address and the problem disapeared. So:
I think you cannot register twice with the same e-mail address, is that it?
If this is the case, te error message should be clearer.

For this exsits a own ticket, ticket 67
does this error still occur?
