first of all sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
Thanks for the bug report and the workaround. I will take a look at the
counter variable and your patch (however, it might take a couple of days
until I get to it).
Since I have some more patches to apply to TrustedGRUB, this will be
included into version 1.1.5.
