It would be nice to be able to draw 2D graphics, at a minimum, into a DrawingArea widget. Cairo looks like a wonderful candidate for an API. An interesting problem would be the method by which the toolkit API is exposed to components in C++, or even to JavaScript via some object (most likely an object that acts as a proxy to whatever API we expose to components)
