#1086 Ai tech research on classic maps

Great game, love it, didn't know that it existed up till now.

I don't know if this is a feature or bug, but I can find any mention of this anywhere.

The AI doe not attempt any tech research on any of the classic maps, even at the end when it has many PUs. The tech options is selected, but still the case. On the big and new maps this is not the case. You don't need a save game for this just try one of the maps to see. - Axis and allies iron blitz 3rd edition or any others. tied on both 03 and 04 versions.

The classic maps are great for beginners as they are less complex, and provide fast gameplay.

I cant believe nobody noticed this. Is this known?
