I haven't tested the new textures in-game, but from the screenshots I wasn't very impressed. To rephrase, I quite like our current textures. So let us do a release with the new .obj support and we'll see artists come up with.

If I'm not mistaken, having only freely licensed art has been confirmed as a goal in a feature request [1]. What has a higher priority though, having good-looking car textures or having freely (GPL-compatible) licensed textures? I for one would prefer Trigger to use no (white) textures over the current (WRC, non-free) ones.
