I seem to lack permission to close the ticket [1]. Could somebody with permissions do this?

I managed to try out the patch and it works, while not affecting behavior when using .ase, so I committed it.

It'll be my first (Trigger related) priority ;-) Then I'll go back to the Windows build and datadir documentation.

Bump.

I would be able to review and commit this feature eventually, but would prefer if somebody who is used to programming would do it :)

This would be a good feature to have before asking artists to make car UV textures and it should be in the windows/mac executables, so they can test their works.

Obj file support seems like a very useful addition. I'll try to review this. Most likely I'll have time in the coming weekend.

farrer of OpenGameArt submitted a patch [1], which allows loading of .obj models in Trigger Rally.

Not having this functionality makes it harder for artists to create UV textures for the game, which is something we desire to be easy, so that we can replace the current license-unknown car textures with good-looking freely licensed ones.

Quoting Scribe from a thread [2] on OpenGameArt:
"and thats great if you can now use .obj files as I think it will mean more users will be able to help you more easily."

Can someone with coding skills please review the patch?
