I (seem) to have figured out how the font texture gets sliced into characters and created a grid image that should help creating font textures . Then I created a NotCourierSans texture using that grid .
This video shows the font (black border) in action: http://youtu.be/KH6FOywHfMII think I spotted at least one error there. Perhaps somebody knows how big each character's box is and whether there are margin/padding?On Tue, Jan 31, 2012 at 11:47 PM, Iwan Gabovitch <email@example.com> wrote:Hi people,I experimented with replacing the current font with a license-clear font and found NotCourierSans Bold (GPL, see license file in zip).I tried versions without and with border. Here is how it looks in-game:no border 1 http://www.flickr.com/photos/qubodup/6798095999/no border 2 http://www.flickr.com/photos/qubodup/6798095893/grey border 1 http://www.flickr.com/photos/qubodup/6798095521/grey border 2 http://www.flickr.com/photos/qubodup/6798095635/black border 1 http://www.flickr.com/photos/qubodup/6798095735/black border 2 http://www.flickr.com/photos/qubodup/6798095803/Unfortunately, the click-area is a bit weird, it starts too soon at the top and not soon enough at the bottom, this I had to do, so 'g' and so on are not cut off at the bottom. Here are the texture files for testing:no border http://ompldr.org/vY2s3ZAgrey border http://ompldr.org/vY2s3ZQblack border http://ompldr.org/vY2s3ZgWhat do you think?CheersIwan
