Gerard J. Cerchio

Mr. Cerchio has worked in computer technology since 1972. His early career included contracts at Rutgers, Bell Labs and Intel where he proved himself a rising star in the field computer technology. Mr. Cerchio architected the first word processor published on the IBM PC, Easy Writer. He wrote a patent in 1984 in the field, that a decade later. would become multimedia technology. He has served on the advanced technology teams of many corporations through out the world. He has written an un-published RFC that allows auto-MAC assignment on the Ethernet and transmission of DVD quality video at WIFI class B speeds. Mr. Cerchio's has worked on medical sensor technology since the 1970's at Bell Labs, Cyclotron, Diasonics, ADAC, Technicon Data Systems, CVIS, Boston Science, Novasonics and Medweb.

Dr. William F. Blaisdell

UC Davis School of Medicine Professor Emeritus F. William Blaisdell was one of the highest-ranking professors in the University of California system. An unparalleled leader in American surgery, Blaisdell has been an outstanding and influential surgical educator and role model for countless residents and medical students. Combining keen clinical observation, common sense and first-class clinical research, he identified and defined the adult respiratory distress syndrome as a problem of shock and poor perfusion, leading to major changes in the resuscitation of seriously injured and septic patients. Blaisdell is considered the father of trauma care thanks to his development of a renowned trauma care system that was implemented at Veterans Administration Hospital, San Francisco General Hospital and UC Davis.

Dr. Peter Killcommons

Medical philanthropist Peter Killcommons has spent the majority of his career supplying impoverished communities with healthcare services and equipment. Peter Killcommons has personally traveled to various nations to deliver support directly to those in need. Additionally, Peter Killcommons established a business dedicated to providing technological solutions that are functional in remote areas.
Peter Killcommons completed his education at the City College of New York and New York Medical College. Enrolling in City College of New York’s Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, Peter Killcommons participated in a special program designed to help students earn their Bachelor of Science while simultaneously finishing their first two years of medical school. Upon obtaining his bachelor’s degree, Peter Killcommons attended New York Medical College, where he acquired his Doctor of Medicine.

Shortly after graduating, Peter Killcommons made headlines, appearing on the front page of the San Francisco Chronicle’s business section for pioneering medical imaging on the internet. Peter Killcommons founded Medweb, a medical imaging, teleradiology, and telemedicine company in 1992. As CEO of Medweb, Peter Killcommons oversees many of the company’s operations. Directing the radiology, telemedicine, and disaster response divisions of the company, Peter Killcommons brings information technology solutions to developing regions in need of simple and operable healthcare systems.

Traveling extensively to fulfill his charitable commitments, Peter Killcommons has been to Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, and Peru on humanitarian missions. In Afghanistan, Peter Killcommons installed medical equipment and trained doctors. Recognizing further strife in a nearby village, Peter Killcommons also provided the funding for a new well for the community. Peter Killcommons sailed on the USNS Comfort hospital ship, stopping in Peru to offer his medical, dental, and surgical services to local villagers. Having been to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait, Peter Killcommons is the only CEO of a medical company known to have traveled into a war zone to ensure military personnel were receiving the support they required.

Peter Killcommons is a member of the American Telemedicine Association and the American Medical Association. Other charities Peter Killcommons donates to include the Fisher House Foundation and the American Red Cross.
