We would like to firm up a release date for February. More specifically, it'd be highly desirable to release by Wed, Feb 17, at the latest. Because I will be away that day and earlier that week at a workshop, I'd strongly prefer that we be able to release by Friday, Feb 12. I would like us during the next teleconference to focus on narrowing down what needs to happen by what time to accomplish this. If you have concerns about meeting that date, please let me know in time so we can address these things at the next conference call. -hilmar -- =========================================================== : Hilmar Lapp -:- Durham, NC -:- informatics.nescent.org : =========================================================== |

I will be away (on mountaintops in the state of Michoacán -- i.e. largely *without* internet) between Feb 14 and Feb 22. This is an unfortunate coincidence because we can anticipate a flurry of problems/questions/issues from users due to the transition. Ideally, then, the release would be either after Feb 22 (e.g. Feb 25), or significantly before Feb 14 (e.g. Feb 1); or we need someone other than me to be available for questions and editorial issues during this period. bp |

I will be away the last week of January (family visit) and the second week of February (BioHackathon). Taken together with Bill's email, this would mean that we push our release target date to Feb 5. That's right within our current target date estimate, so I think we will need to go in during our next call and carefully revisit the whole plan to see what can be cut off and still make the release. -hilmar On Jan 12, 2010, at 9:51 AM, Rutger Vos wrote: > I will be away the last week of January (family visit) and the second > week of February (BioHackathon). > > On Mon, Jan 11, 2010 at 10:17 PM, Hilmar Lapp <hl...@ne...> > wrote: >> We would like to firm up a release date for February.
