My worry is that, by placing ugly webapp download links in the public
GUI, the Rod Pages of this world will copy & paste those, distribute
them, build hacks around them, etc. To discourage that, anything that
looks like a context-free link to a resource (as opposed to something
reasonably associated with search or submission) should be a purl, in
my opinion.
