Hey Bruno, This is some how complicated. We have two form of verbs for single and plural live subjects. For example the verb is different in "{1} man went" and "{2} men went". But there can be no different in verb form for non-alive subject. For example the verb can be the same or different in "{1} rock fell" and "{2} rocks fell". However modern literature prefers to use different verb forms here too. Also, Nouns followed by a number are never different. For example the translation is exactly the same in ”{1} minute passed" and "{2} minutes passed". در 22 دسامبر 2021 19:43:24 (GMT+03:30)، Bruno Haible <br...@cl...> نوشت: >Hi, dear Farsi translators, > >I am the GNU gettext maintainer, and I would like to support correct plural >forms also for Farsi in the GNU gettext tools, out of the box, and improve >the GNU gettext documentation. > >You certainly know about the "plural forms", as documented here: >https://www.gnu.org/software/gettext/manual/html_node/Plural-forms.html > >I have gotten different data about Farsi, thus my question. > >* The page https://l10n.gnome.org/teams/fa/ suggests the formula > nplurals=1; plural=0; > >* But CLDR suggests the formula > nplurals=2; plural=(n > 1); > >Which one is correct?
