I don't think anyone will read this, but it is here just in case you are reading it.
There has been no progress by me since the last progress report (15.11.2003) - that's four months. Well hopefully that is going to change.
In the past week I have been starting some UML class diagrams describing different parts of the game. I will keep developing these, and I will hopefully be able to announce the start of programming at the beginning of next month (April).
Stay tuned.
The home page is now up with an introduction and the Java programming guide. Soon to be added is the specification document.
I'm currently working on the graphics engine - it seems fairly simple, since Java3D does a lot of the stuff I need.
The other thing I'm working on is a list of 'modules' that can be worked on independantly. This would be helpful when (if) any programmers join.
At the moment there is no need for 3D modellers, but if you would like to make some models for later on, it would be appreciated. I think I'm going to have 4/5 levels of zoom, so the models need to have several levels of detail (LoD) to chose between. More information in the forums.
As of today, the official development homepage of Transit Network is here! Welcome!
