Hi,
When starting Transmission Remote GUI v 5.0.1, MsPmEng.exe (Microsoft Security Essentials) goes up to 25% cpu usage, the Transmission GUI appears after more than 10 seconds. I have to manually exclude transgui.exe from being scanned so that it starts automatically and quickly, normally in fact ... Any idea why it does that ? Is that some part of code the antivirus considers as suspect ?

You need to contact MS support regarding this issue. It is clearly their bug.
