I was very surprised when I looked at the archive of the mailing list. *shock* There where several messages. *shock*
I had wondered why I never received any feedback from transAuction users.
Well after about a hour of poking around I discovered why:
My email provider no longer holds the domain for the email address I used. This took effect around 2 or so years ago. And I had not updated the information.... read more
0.2.1.1 adds no new functionality, only fixes
a typo in Win32 installs. Anyone using other
platforms need not worry about this release.
But I would like all transaution users to read
http://transauction.soruceforge.net and give
some feedback on the anouncement.
This release is still focusing on the install utility
adding commandline switches.
http://transauction.sourceforge.net/docs-install.html
lists the options.
The About window also got a few clean ups.
I finally got everything the TODO file stated for
a 0.2 release. The changes made are not likely to
be noticed by users. Most changed were for
maintainence and text messages.
Hum, I am a little distraut. I have recieved no interaction from any users.
I figured I might at least get a "this sucks email". But I have recieved
nothing. I released this program to you hoping to make it better for you.
To do this I need to know what you think and what you want it to do. So for
users of transAuction, I ask that you send a comment, criticial or not, a
feature request or anything.
I have writen just about everything I thought to be useful in to the
program. But I don't use transAuction except for testing and need to know
what users would find usefull.
0.1.4 has been released. It adds searching of the old DB and the About
window showing the license and version information.
The home page now has all of the Documentation. If a request is made I
will package the Docs for download.
I have yet to get any information needed to make sure transAuction works
on platforms besides Win32 and Linux. If you want transAuction to work on
other platforms, contact me to answer a few question to make that possible.
TransAuction development will slow down until I get requests and/or
comments from the users. As I said before I don't use the program and only
update it when a idea comes to me. Being that I use
http://transauction.sourceforge.net/TODO.html as a road map, Mac support
(at least OS X) are all that is needed for 0.2 release. If anyone could help
me with this, I don't have one to play with, I would greatly appreciate it.

This fixes that nasty slow save from "New Record"
window.
Also added "old DB Viewer" that I am
happy with. This will eventually be used with
searching the old DB.
I listed the platform as any because I don't
see any reason that it is bound to i386. If
anyone has a problem, let me know.
I finally got the User documentation done for
every thing that will not change later. The
"view old transaction" window is not in the docs
list because that was a "button needs to do something
/ gee, will this work?" kind of thing. I am still
brain-storming as to what I want this to be.
Gimped up a logo for the web page in a fit of
sleeplessness. Also made so color adjustments.
I think it look signifigantly better.
Do the survey thing to let me know what you think
about the logo.
Please, fill out this survey if you try transAuction.
This will help me to know where all it can run.

I think I got everything documented for the main
window now.

The Home Page has been updated to include User Docs
for Installation and the Main window. Please, check
it out and see if it's helpful.

I got a small web page up, so you don't have to look at
an empty directory structure. The page isn't much
prettier, but that should change after I get some docs up.
TransAuction's first public release now available in Files section.
